Ravens ILB Rolando McClain Retires From The NFL

The Baltimore Ravens announced on Wednesday that ILB Rolando McClain will retire from the NFL.

“Rolando let me know that he plans to retire from the NFL,” stated Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome. “We have placed him on the Reserve/Retired list.

McClain, 23, signed a one-year deal with the Ravens back in April, but was arrested within 10 days of signing that contract. McClain was cut loose by the Raiders a few months ago after numerous off-the-field issues.

Baltimore drafted Arthur Brown in the second-round of this year’s draft, so he figures to see a lot of playing time this year. Jameel McClain and Josh Bynes should also be in the mix as well.

McClain, a former first-round pick, finishes his career with 274 career tackles, one interception and a forced fumble.
