Ravens Still Fielding Trade Calls For QB Robert Griffin III

Update:

Albert Breer reports that the Ravens have been fielding trade calls for backup QB Robert Griffin III. However, Breer says that the fact that they haven’t dealt or cut RGIII at this point shows he’s established some value there.

Tom Pelissero reports that the Ravens plan to keep QB Robert Griffin III on their 53-man roster.

Griffin, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He spent four years in Washington before signing a two-year, $15 million contract that includes $6.75 million guaranteed with the Browns back in 2016.

RGIII was set to make a base salary of $6 million for the 2017 season when the Browns released him last year. He signed with Baltimore to a one-year, $1 million deal earlier this offseason.

In 2016, Griffin appeared in five games thrown for 886 yards while completing 59.2 percent his passes to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s also added 190 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Browns.
