Ravens LB Arthur Brown Could Be Available At The Trade Deadline

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported on Thursday’s NFL Insiders that the Ravens have no plans to play second-year ILB Arthur Brown.

  • According to Caplan, some teams could reach out Baltimore regarding Brown’s availability. However, Caplan doesn’t expect him to traded in the coming days.

Caplan reported back in September that the Brown was the subject of trade talks with other teams around the league.

Brown hasn’t been active for a single game this season, despite claims from the Ravens that they still believe Brown can develop into a solid player.

It’s been interesting to see how fast Brown has fallen out of favor in Baltimore given that amount of hype surrounding him leading up to the 2013 NFL Draft. The Ravens wound up using a second-round pick on Brown, who is only in his second NFL season.

Brown, 24, still has three years remaining on his four-year, $3.554 million contract and will make a base salary of $566,556 for the 2014 season. Last year, Brown recorded 15 tackles, a half sack, and a forced fumble over the course of 14 games.

We’ll have more regarding a potential Brown trade in the coming days.
