Ravens Not Concerned With Rumors Of Ed Reed’s Retirement

Raven’s insider John Eisenberg of CSN Baltimore reports that head coach John Harbaugh has no concerns that Reed will retire this offseason, despite a few comments about retirement that Reed has recently made.

Harbaugh goes on to say, “There has been no indication that he’s not going to play this year, as far as I am concerned… I don’t worry about Ed … He’s a leader, and Ed will be here. We’re counting on Ed being here.”

Reed has been one of the most dominating safeties in the NFL but there’s no question that his age will be concern in the upcoming years.  At least for now, fans can rest assured they will have their pro-bowl safety for the 2012 season.
