Ravens Pick Up $2.18M Of Cap Space By Reworking DT Brandon Williams’ Contract

According to Brian McFarland, the Ravens picked up $2.18 million of cap space in recent days by restructuring DT Brandon Williams contract.

The Ravens accomplished this by converting $2.725 million of Williams’ $3.5 million base salary into a signing bonus.

Williams, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $2,675,000 rookie contract before returning to Baltimore on a  five-year, $52.5 million contract that included $24.5 million guaranteed this past March.

Williams stands to make base salaries of $3.5 million and $8.5 million over the first two years of the agreement.

In 2016, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 51 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 39 defensive tackle out of 127 qualifying players.
