Ravens Place CB Asa Jackson On Short-Term I.R.

The Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday that they have placed CB Asa Jackson on injured reserve with the designation to return.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh mentioned that Jackson suffered a “very severely sprained toe” during Sunday’s loss to the Colts.

Baltimore will be without Jackson for at least eight weeks, which means he could be back for their Week 15 game against the Jaguars. Jackson will, however, be allowed to return to practice in six weeks.

Jackson, 24, is in the third year of his rookie contract worth $2.24 million. He’ll make $570,000 for the 2014 season and another $660,000 next year.

On the season, Jackson has appeared in five games and recorded 19 tackles and a pass defense.
