Ravens Use Original-Round Tenders On RB Terrance West, WR/PR Michael Campanaro, OT James Hurst & S Marqueston Huff

The Baltimore Ravens have placed original round tenders on restricted free agents RB Terrance West, WR/PR Michael Campanaro, OT James Hurst and S Marqueston Huff, according to Jeff Zrebiec.

The original-round tender will cost the Ravens around $1.797 million for the 2017 season and give them the right of first refusal for any offer sheet he receives from another team during free agency.

West, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He was later traded to the Titans in deal with the Browns that sent a 2016 conditional pick to Cleveland in return for the running back.

The Titans elected to cut West loose and he wound up catching on with the Ravens and was signed to their practice squad a few days later. Baltimore brought West back in an exclusive rights contract last year.

In 2016, West appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and rushed for 774 yards on 193 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 34 receptions for 236 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.

Huff, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Titans. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.654 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $600,000 and $690,000 over the remainder of the agreement.

The Titans waived him as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players, but he was later claimed by the Jaguars. The Ravens elected to sign him off of the Jaguars’ practice back in October of last year.

In 2016, Huff appeared in 11 games for the Ravens and recorded three tackles.
