Ravens Place S Matt Elam On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens officially placed DB Matt Elam, DB Chris Greenwood, DE Steven Means and TE Allen Reisner on season-ending injured reserve Monday.

  • The Ravens also placed OT Darryl Baldwin on the reserve/NFI list.

Elam was forced to undergo surgery to repair a torn biceps, and it was clear that he season was likely coming to an end.

Elam, 23, has two years remaining on his four-year, $6.767 million rookie contract that included $5.439 guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $1,020,182 and $1,327,773 over the remainder of the agreement.

In 2014, Elam appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 50 tackles, a half sack, a forced fumble and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 78 cornerback out of 87 qualifying players.
