Ravens Re-sign RB Bernard Scott, Place WR Brandon Stokley On IR

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they have re-signed RB Bernard Scott to their 53-man roster and placed WR Brandon Stokley on the season-ending injured reserve.

Scott, 29, was released in order to make room for TE Dennis Pitta who was returning from a serious hip injury. Scott had been with the Ravens since Week 8, but has yet to be active for a single game this season.

Stokley, 37, suffered a concussion during Week 14’s victory over the Vikings, which is concerning given that he has suffered multiple concussions over the course his career in the NFL.

Stokley played in six games during 2013, accumulating 13 receptions and 115 yards. Given that Stokley is set to become a free-agent in 2014, it seems highly unlikely that the 15-year veteran will be returning to Baltimore after this season.
