Ravens Could Target A RB In Later Rounds Of The Draft

CSN Baltimore’s Clifton Brown believes the Ravens could target a running back during the later rounds of this year’s NFL Draft.

According to Brown, the Ravens have been planning to improve their running back depth behind Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce since the season concluded.

Brown adds that Rice’s recent arrest and Pierce’s rotator cuff surgery last month could both factor into their decision as well.

It’s unlikely that the Ravens will consider the position at all in the first or second round, but Brown expects them to take a look at some guys later in the draft.

As for potential targets, Brown lists: Kapri Bibbs (Colorado State), Isaiah Crowell (Alabama State), Marion Grice (Arizona State), Bishop Sankey (Washington) and Terrance West (Towson) as players to watch.

Mike Mayock spoke very highly of Sankey during Tuesday’s conference call, so there is a chance he could be out of reach for the Ravens in the mid-to-late rounds of the draft.
