Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that the Ravens decision to fire OC Cam Cameron on Monday came from an “accumulation of personal issues” Cameron and QB Joe Flacco, as well as the rest of the team’s coaching staff.
Cole adds that Cameron was viewed as a “control freak” and the decision to remove him had to do with keeping Flacco happy.
There’s no question that something was wrong with the Ravens offense and they’re clearly focused on re-signing Flacco during the offseason, so the moves makes plenty of sense in that regard. Baltimore may have to use their franchise tag on Flacco to buy them some extra time negotiate a long-term deal, but that will be a costly move on their part.

Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Ravens have in fact fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and are expected to replace him with quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell.
Dan Patrick mentioned on his morning radio show that the Baltimore Ravens could end making some changes to their coaching staff in the near future, Pro Football Talk.
Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has come under plenty of scrutiny in the last two years for his calling and the overall performance of the team’s offense. PFT tweets that the Ravens could replace Cameron with former Colts head coach Jim Caldwell, who’s currently their quarterbacks coach.
Defensive coordinator Dean Pees could also be on the hot-seat for the team’s poor season. Baltimore has become know for being an a top 10 defense annually, but this year they rank 25th in total yards allowed.
PFT’s Mike Florio also tosses out special-teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg as another coach who could be in danger of losing his job.
