Ravens Promoting LB Brennen Beyer To Active Roster

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens will promote LB Brennen Beyer to active roster ahead of tomorrow’s game against the Steelers.

Beyer, 24, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason in 2015 but was later signed to the Ravens’ practice squad at the start of the season.

Baltimore brought him back on a future/reserve contract back in January but he was once again among their final roster cuts before being signed to their taxi squad.

During his college career, Beyer recorded 92 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, an interception, a pass defense and two forced fumbles.
