Ravens Re-Sign RFA K Justin Tucker

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that Ravens K Justin Tucker has signed his restricted tender.

  • According to Wilson, Tucker’s second-round tender will pay him $2.356 million for the 2015 season.

Tucker, 25, played out his three-year, $1,440,000 rookie contract with the Ravens and is already in the discussion for the best kicker in the NFL.

There has been talk that a long-term extension could be coming for Tucker, but there really hasn’t been any reported progress in recent weeks.

Last year, Tucker appeared in all 16 games and converted 29 of 34 field goal attempts (85.3 percent) including 4 of 9 from 50 yards or more. He didn’t miss an extra point try. Pro Football Focus has Tucker rated as the No. 1 kicker out of 57 qualifying players.
