Ravens Re-Sign RFA TE Chase Ford

The Baltimore Ravens officially announced that restricted free agent TE Chase Ford has signed his tender.

The Ravens used a low-round tender on Ford that will run them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season. This designation gave them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he received, but wouldn’t have included any compensation had they elected to not match an offer.

Ford, 25, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2012. He lasted less than a year in Philadelphia before signing a future/reserve contract with the Vikings in January of 2013.

He was on and off of the Vikings’ active roster for the next two years before being signed to the Ravens’ active roster.

Ford did not appear in a game during the 2015 season.
