According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Miami Dolphins will send their seventh-round pick to the Ravens to complete their trade for LTÂ Bryant McKinnie.
Last year, the Dolphins were in desperate need of help at left tackle an agreed to send a conditional seventh-round pick to Baltimore for LT Bryant McKinnie. The conditions of the deal were based on playing time, and because McKinnie started 10 games for Miami last year, they will now have to part with their seventh-round pick.
The Ravens traded their four and fifth-round picks to the Jaguars in return for Eugene Monroe, so even though this pick isn’t worth all that much, I’m sure they’re pretty happy to get a pick for McKinnie.
- Baltimore also traded their seventh-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for A.Q. Shipley.
McKinnie, 34, had a tough year in 2013 allowing eight sacks while rating considerably low in both run and pass-blocking last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He was rated as the No. 65 tackle in the league out of 75 qualifying players.
As of now, McKinnie remains a free agent and has found little interest on the open market.
