Ravens Reportedly Have TE Eric Ebron As Their “Number One Target”

Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net reports that “several sources” have informed him that the Ravens have North Carolina TE Eric Ebron as their “number one target.

According to Pauline, Baltimore hasĀ “coveted” Ebron for quite some time. However, Pauline adds thatĀ the Steelers could be the one team standing in the way of the Ravens landing Ebron at No. 17 overall.

One other notes from Pauline regarding Ebron, the Giants could be “souring” on him for “personality red flags.

Jordan Raanan reported about a week ago thatĀ indications are that the Giants aren’t “especially high” on Ebron.

Meanwhile,Ā Dan Pompei of the Bleacher ReportĀ recently mentioned thatĀ NFL teams drafting in theĀ “low teens or even high 20s” could consider a trade up for EbronĀ if he falls out of the top-ten, so there could be other teams involved by the time the Steelers are on the clock.

Pompei specifically mentions that theĀ Jets,Ā Dolphins,Ā CardinalsĀ andĀ PackersĀ could all shown interest in trading up for Ebron if falls into the middle part of round one.

For what it’s worth, Ebron has reportedly worked out for theĀ Ravens,Ā Bills,Ā PanthersĀ andĀ LionsĀ in recent months.

Ebron appeared in 13 games and caught 62 passes for 972 yards receiving and three touchdowns during his final year at North Carolina.

We have Ebron going to the JetsĀ inĀ the first round of our recently updatedĀ 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
