Dianna Marie Russini reports that the Ravens are showing “strong, strong interest” in Saints free agent TE Ben Watson.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Saints believe they’re out on Watson, and expect him to land with the Ravens.

Watson previously mentioned that he has spoken to the Saints about a potential extension that would keep him in New Orleans.

However, it appears as though there’s enough interest in from other teams that it could be somewhat difficult for the Saints to bring him back.

Watson, 35, is coming off of an impressive 2015 season and is in line to be an unrestricted free agent as of tomorrow.

In 2015, Watson appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and recorded 74 receptions for 825 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 56 tight end out of 73 qualifying players.
