Ravens Sign CB Robertson Daniel To Futures Deal

The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CB Robertson Daniel to a future/reserve contract.

As of now, the Ravens have signed the following players futures contracts:

  1. QB Josh Woodrum
  2. RB John Crockett
  3. FB Ricky Ortiz
  4. OT Steven Moore
  5. CB Robertson Daniel

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Daniel, 26, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in 2015. He was waived coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the Packers’ practice squad.

After a brief stint on the Redskins’ practice squad, Daniel joined the Ravens’ taxi squad during the 2016 season and returned to Baltimore on a future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Ravens cut him loose with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to injured reserve.

Baltimore eventually cut him loose with an injury settlement before re-signing him to their practice squad.

During his college career at BYU, Daniel recorded 112 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and 19 pass defenses.
