The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they’ve signed FB Ricky Ortiz to their practice squad and released G Jason King from the unit.
The Ravens’ practice squad now consists of:
- FB Ricky Ortiz
- WR Quincy Adeboyejo
- QB Josh Woodrum
- LB Nicholas Grigsby
- RBÂ John Crockett
- CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste
- DT Kapron Lewis-Moore
- OT Dieugot Joseph
- WR Kenny Bell
- OT Steven Moore
Ortiz, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Ravens cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
Unfortunately, the Ravens placed him on injured reserve list last month before cutting him loose a few weeks later.
During his college career at Oregon State, Ortiz recorded 47 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and an interception over the course of 27 games.
