Ravens Sign QB Josh Johnson & G Vlad Ducasse

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they’ve signed QB Josh Johnson and G Vlad Ducasse to a contract on Monday.

Johnson, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012. Since then, Johnson has played for a number of teams including the 49ers, Browns, Bengals, Chargers, Jets, Colts and most recently for the Bills.

Johnson hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season while playing for the Bengals.

Ducasse, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with the Jets before signing on with the Vikings in 2014. The Bears elected to sign him to a one-year contract back in March last year.

The Ravens actually brought Ducasse in for a visit back in March, so he was clear on their radar.

In 2015, Ducasse appeared in 15 games for the Bears and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 47 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
