Ravens Sign RB Stephen Houston, Waive P Michael Palardy

The Baltimore Ravens announced the signing of RB Stephen Houston on Wednesday, as well as the release of P Michael Palardy.

This comes just a day after the Ravens waived RB Trent Richardson, who had been dealing with an injury.

Houston tried out for the Lions back in June, but did not receive an offer from the team.

Houston, 24, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in May of 2014. Houston was , unfortunately, waived during the preseason before later signing on with the Steelers.

Houston’s time in Pittsburgh was also short lived, as he was once again placed on waivers after a few weeks with the Steelers.

During his college career at Indiana, Houston ran for 2,304 yards on 424 carries (5.4 YPC) and scored 29 total touchdowns.

Palardy, 24, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2014. He lasted less than a month in New York before catching on with the Raiders.

The Rams later signed him off of the Raiders’ practice squad and brought him back on a future/reserve deal before cutting him at the start of the 2015 season. The Ravens signed him to a contract last week.

Palardy caught on briefly with the Panthers but was waived after the team signed veteran P Mike Scifres to a contract in June.

Palardy has yet to appear in an NFL game.
