Ravens Sign Veteran CB Brandon Boykin

The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran CB Brandon Boykin to a contract on Monday, according to his agent Ken Sarnoff.

This comes less than a week after the Ravens lost CB Tavon Young to a torn ACL.

Boykin, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He was traded to the Steelers last year for a 2016 fifth round pick after Pittsburgh sustained some injuries at cornerback.

The Panthers elected to sign him to a one-year contract back in March of last year before releasing shortly after last year’s draft. The Bears later signed him to a contract in July but placed him on injured reserve with a pectoral muscle injury a few days later.

In 2015, Boykin was active for all 16 games and recorded 25 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 38 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players that year.
