Ravens Sign Former Cardinals CB Jerraud Powers To A One-Year, $1.75M Deal

Rand Geltin of NFL Media reports that the Ravens have agreed to terms with former Cardinals CB Jerraud Powers.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Powers receives a one-year contract from Baltimore worth $1.75 million.

Powers visited with the Giants and Cardinals in recent months, but apparently did not receive an offer from either team. The Dolphins were also mentioned as a speculative option, seeing as they could use some cornerback depth.

However, it appears as though the Ravens wound up being his best option.

Powers, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Colts back in 2009. He spent four years in Indianapolis before signing on with the Cardinals as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

In 2015, Powers appeared in 13 games for the Cardinals and recorded 52 tackles, one sack, an interception, two fumble recoveries and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 79 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
