The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran QB Matt Schaub to a contract, according to Peter King of MMQB.com.

  • Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reported that Schaub was meeting with the Ravens Tuesday afternoon.
  • According to Zrebiec, the Ravens are looking to add competition for backup QB Keith Wenning before training camp.

Schaub, 33, signed a two-year, $13.5 million contract that included $8 million guaranteed after the Raiders sent a sixth-round pick to the Texans for him.

Unfortunately, Schaub lasted just one year in Oakland before he was released in a move that freed up all $5.5 million in cap space for the Raiders.

In 2014, Schaub was active for 11 games, but was limited to playing just 19 snaps. He completed 5 of 10 passes for 57 yards and two interceptions.
