Smith, 36, has two years remaining on his three-year, $10.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $3 million this year and next.
This season, Smith appeared in seven games and caught 46 passes for 670 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Ravens. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
- According to Werder, first-round WR Breshad Perriman is still “weeks away” from returning.
Morgan, 27, signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Walsh back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract and later signed a one-year deal worth $495,000 with New Orleans in March of last year.
Morgan wound up being among the Saints final roster cuts a month ago, but has been on and off of the team’s roster since then.
In 2014, Morgan appeared in five games and caught just four passes for 92 yards receiving to go along with one rush for 67 yards.
