Ravens Starting Lamar Jackson In Week 15, Joe Flacco Will Be Backup QB

Ravens HC John Harbaugh announced Wednesday that Lamar Jackson is the starting quarterback for Sunday’s game and Joe Flacco will serve as their backup.

Harbaugh said that Flacco has handled the situation like a pro and added that they may need him before it’s all said than done.

Jackson, 21, was taken with the No. 32 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Ravens. He agreed to a four-year, $9,471,652 contract that includes a $5,968,472 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Ravens to pick up in 2021.

In 2018, Jackson has appeared in 13 games for the Ravens and completed 58.4 percent of his passes for 687 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 475 yards and three touchdowns.
