The NFL announced Friday that Ravens TE Darren Waller has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the league’s substances abuse policy.
Waller is the last NFL player to be suspended after several suspensions were announced on Thursday.
Waller, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.39 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.
Waller is making the transition to tight end after playing receiver last year. It’s worth mentioning that he was previously suspended during his college career after testing positive for marijuana.
In 2015, Waller appeared in six games for the Ravens and recorded two receptions for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
