Ravens Have TE Eric Ebron On Their Radar

According to Jason La Canfora, the Ravens already have former Lions TE Eric Ebron on their radar as a potential addition.

  • La Canfora says that the Ravens would like to add more pass catchers to their offense, so this is something to watch.
  • Jeff Zrebeic mentions that the Ravens were in on both Jimmy Graham and Trey Burton yesterday, so they could also take a look at Ebron.

It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Ebron, 24, was taken with the No. 10 overall pick by the Lions back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $12.249 million rookie contract and made a base salary of $1,590,337 for the 2017 season.

The Lions elected to pick up his fifth-year option last April, which would have cost them around $8,250,000 for the 2018 season but was guaranteed only for injury. However, the Lions released Ebron in a move that will free up $8.25 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2017, Ebron appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and caught 53 passes for 574 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
