Ravens Third-Round DE Bronson Kaufusi Expected To Be Out For Season With Broken Ankle

Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters after Thursday’s practice that third-round DE Bronson Kaufusi will likely miss the entire 2016 season after he suffered a broken ankle during practice.

Baltimore will likely place Kaufusi on season-ending injured reserve in the coming days.

Kaufusi, 25, was taken with the No. 70 overall pick by the Ravens over a month ago. The Ravens needed to bring in some depth at defensive end and Kaufusi could develop into a solid player for them in the coming years, especially considering how productive he was in college.

According to OverTheCap.com, Kaufusi receives a four-year contract worth $3,185,016 to go along with a signing bonus of $845,016.

During his college career at BYU, Kaufusi recorded 169 tackles, 42.5 tackles for a loss, 25.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, two interceptions and 14 pass defenses over the course of four years.
