Ravens Use A Second-Round Tender On RFA WR Kamar Aiken

Aaron Wilson reports that the Ravens have placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent WR Kamar Aiken.

The second-round tender will cost the Ravens $2.553 million for the 2016 season and net them a second-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team and they elect to pass on matching it.

Aiken, 26, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of UCF back in 2011. Since then, he’s played for the Bears and Patriots before signing on with the Ravens in 2013.

Baltimore has brought Aiken back no exclusive rights deals in each of the past two seasons.

In 2015, Aiken appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 75 receptions for 944 yards receiving and five touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.
