Ravens Waive DB Robert Nelson

The Baltimore Ravens have placed DB Robert Nelson on waivers Monday, according to Field Yates.

Nelson, 27, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in May of 2014. He lasted just over a year in Cleveland before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad.

The Texans signed Nelson to a future/reserve contract but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Nelson had stints with the Patriots and Jets before eventually signing on with the Ravens towards the end of the season.

The Ravens signed Nelson to a futures contract this past January.

In 2017, Nelson appeared in two games and recorded four total tackles and interceptions or pass defenses.
