Ravens Waive TE Crockett Gillmore With Injury Designation

The Baltimore Ravens announced Friday that they’ve waived TE Crockett Gillmore with an injury designation to make room for OT Austin Howard, who was signed to a three-year deal.

Should Crockett pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Saturday.

Gillmore underwent surgery to repair his MCL earlier in the week and will miss the 2017 season. His recovery time is expected to be 5 months.

Gillmore, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.906 million contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Gillmore appeared in seven games and caught eight passes for 71 yards receiving and one touchdown.
