Ravens Waive TE Richard Gordon, Sign DB Jermaine Whitehead

The Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday that they’ve signed DB Jermaine Whitehead to a contract and waived TE Richard Gordon.

Gordon, 28, was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Raiders. He spent two years with Oakland before he was waived and later caught on with the Steelers.

The Chiefs re-signed him as an unrestricted free agent in March before later releasing him from injured reserve with a settlement.

Gordon signed with the Broncos a few months ago before catching on with the Ravens in recent weeks.

This season, Gordon appeared in one game, but hasn’t recorded a single statistic.
