Ravens Waive Three Players, Sign Three Rookie Free Agents

The Baltimore Ravens announced a number of roster moves on Tuesday, including the release of QB Keith Wenning, TE Phillip Supernaw and rookie free agent OLB Darius Allen.

All three players will have to clear waivers before they can sign with a team of their choosing.

Baltimore also signed undrafted rookie free agents: Alabama G Leon Brown, James Madison WR Daniel Brown and Rhode Island ILB Andrew Bose.

Wenning, 24, was taken in the sixth round of the 2014 draft by the Ravens. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

The Ravens wound up signing him to a future/reserve contract back in January.

Supernaw, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Ouachita Baptist back in 2012. He spent two years with Houston before he was placed on waivers this past May.

Baltimore later signed him to their practice squad after they made their final roster cuts at the end of August. The Chiefs later signed him to their active roster, but wound up waiving him just a few weeks later.

Supernaw appeared in eight games for the Ravens and Chiefs last year and caught three passes for 30 yards receiving. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing just 33 total snaps.
