RB Bernard Scott To See Increase In Playing Time For Bengals

In an interview on NFL Live Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer stated that the Bengals will look to lean more heavily on RB Bernard Scott in 2012.  Scott will probably be the featured back, but would complement an incoming back, as the Bengals will not retain Cedric Benson.

While there should be depth to the free agent pool at running back, the Bengals could also address the position in the draft.  Scott, coming off a strong year (despite his 3.9 yards per carry average), would love to find himself splitting the carries more evenly in the coming year.  He is under 1000 yards for his career and could be a candidate for a surprisingly strong year as teams prepare for the young and dangerous passing attack of the new look Bengals.
