Re-Signing Rashad Jennings More Of A Priority For The Raiders Than Darren McFadden?

Raiders HC Dennis Allen seemed to suggest that re-signing RB Rashad Jennings was higher on the team’s priorities list Darren McFadden, during a Thursday interview with Pro Football Talk.

  • Allen did say that the Raiders would like to keep McFadden, who has a meeting scheduled with the team for later in the week.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said previously that they would like to bring Jennings back, so it’s not all that surprising to hear that he could trump McFadden on the team’s offseason priorities list.

In 2013, Jennings totaled 733 yards rushing on 163 carries (4.5 YPC) and six touchdowns for the Raiders.

McFadden has had a number of disappointing seasons with the Raiders, which can be attributed the number of injuries he’s dealt with during this time. McFadden has missed 29 games since entering the NFL six years ago. On top of that, his yards-per-carry have dropped off considerably in the Raiders new offensive scheme.

We have both Jennings and McFadden listed in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
