Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland Has High-Ankle Sprain, More Tests Monday

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland has a right high-ankle sprain and will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury.

Following Sunday’s game, Breeland said that X-rays didn’t show anything broken in regards to his injured ankle.

Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland was forced from Sunday’s game with an ankle injury and quickly ruled out.

Breeland, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.706 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

Entering today’s game, Breeland has recorded 19 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses over the course of two games.
