Redskins CB Chris Culliver Out For Season With Torn ACL & MCL

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that an MRI on Chris Culliver’s injured knee shows that he torn both his MCL and ACL, and will subsequently miss the remainder of the season.

Liz Clarke of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins fear CB Chris Culliver suffered a torn ACL during practice.

Carkle mentions that Redskins’ defensive backs were viably concerned about Culliver after he hurt his right knee. Culliver is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Culliver, 27, signed a four-year, $32 million contract that included $16 million guaranteed with the Redskins back in March. He stands to make base salaries of $3 million in 2015 and $8 million from 2016-18.

This season, Culliver has appeared in six games and recorded 16 tackles and a pass defense for the Redskins.
