Redskins Hosting LB Zach Brown For Visit On Monday

Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post is reporting that the Redskins will host free agent LB Zach Brown for a visit on Monday.

  • The visit was first reported by Jamal Womble.
  • Womble mentioned that most of the conversations involving Brown have been about where he can go and be successful. Womble added that the money being offered to Brown appears to be close with all of the interested teams.

Since free agency opened several weeks ago, Brown has met with the Raiders, Dolphins and Bills. Brown did, however, recently change representation and is now with CSE Talent.

Overall, the inside linebacker market hasn’t been very good this year, which is why Brown is currently still available.

Brown, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2012. He finished his four-year rookie contract with Tennessee before signing on with the Bills as an unrestricted free agent last year.

He finished a one-year, $1,250,000 with the Bills and is once again testing the open market.

In 2016, Brown appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and recorded 143 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 17 overall linebackers out of 87 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
