Redskins In No Rush To Re-Sign OLB Brian Orakpo?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Washington Redskins “aren’t in any rush” to lock up OLB Brian Orakpo this season.

• La Canfora adds that Washington want’s to see how things play out this season for Orakpo given his injury issues in the past few seasons.

A previous report from the Washington Post indicated that the team was “intent” on signing Orakpo to a long-term contract “well before” the start of the 2014 free agency period.

Orakpo, 27, has reportedly had a very impressive training camp and has all the incentive in the world to have a monster season for the Redskins’ defense. We have him listed as the No. 10 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
