We’ve seen a number of names tossed out in connection to the Redskins’ defensive coordinator vacancy including Broncos DC Wade Phillips, former Jaguars HC Gus Bradley, Bengals DC Paul Guenther, Rams DC Gregg Williams, Redskins OLB Greg Manusky and Panthers DBs coach Steve Wilks.

Washington officially parted ways with DC Joe Barry on Wednesday and a few other assistant coaches.

Pettine, 50, was hired by the Browns as their head coach back in 2014 after he spent four years with the Jets and one season with the Bills.

Pettine led the Browns to a record of 10-22 (31.3 percent) before he was fired along with GM Ray Farmer.
