In Week 4, Redskins K Billy Cundiff wound up missing three field goals, but nailed a game-winner. You could easily make the argument that he wouldn’t have needed to make the the final field goal has he made any one of the previous attempts, but he at least bought himself another week. Well, Cundiff missed another field goal on Sunday against the Falcons and this one was only from 31 yards out.

Head coach Mike Shanahan was asked about his plans for the position following the game.

“I’m not sure what we’ll do,” said Shanahan, via the Washington Post. “I never say anything right after a game. You let 24 hours go by and collect your thoughts and make decisions on what you think gives you the best chance to win.”

Both Graham Gano and Neil Rackers were let go by the team in favor of Cundiff who was released by the Ravens, so they could be two options worth considering. We’ll have more updates as the news becomes available.
