Redskins Lose Rooke DE Jarvis Jenkins For The Season

During last nights game, Washington Redskins rookie DE Jarvis Jenkins left with an apparent knee injury. Well that injury has been confirmed to be a torn ACL which will end up costing Jenkins the entire 2011 season, per Rick Maese of the Washington Post.

Tough loss for the Redskins defense as their defensive line was beginning to look much improved from a season ago and Jenkins was a pretty big part of the teams recent improvement. He was starting last nights game so he has managed to work his way into the lineup over veteran players Adam Carriker in just a few short weeks.

This is the test of any team. Their ability to overcome injuries is one of the key components to a successful team so we’ll have to see how the Redskins defensive line responds.
