Redskins Lowering Price Tag For Haynesworth?

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen brings us the latest news regarding a possible Albert Haynesworth trade.

Mortensen mentions that the Redskins will continue to take calls on Haynesworth through Tuesday and still sees the Tennessee Titans as the best fit for a trade. The most interesting thing the Mortensen mentions is that the Redskins may be willing to accept a deal for less than a second-round pick because of Haynesworths unwillingness to learn the teams 3-4 defense.

Head coach, Mike Shanahan, did his best to preserve Haynesworth’s trade value by saying that he thinks Albert played hard on Sunday and seems to be learning more and more of the system. Haynesworth looked like he could be effective if he cared to succeed but that may never happen in Washington.

The Titans could be getting a pretty good deal for Haynesworth if the show that they are willing to part with a third or fourth-round pick for him.
