Redskins Making Calls About Available Wide Receivers

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports is reporting that the Redskins are currently making calls around the NFL and attempting to land a wide receiver before the deadline.

La Canfora doesn’t say who the Redskins have been in contact with or offer any speculative options.

The most notable receivers that have come up as potential trade candidates including Colts WRs T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief along with Steelers WR Martavis Bryant.

As of now, the Redskins rank No. 12 in the NFL in total passing yards with 1,762, but it appears as though they’re interested in adding to their available offensive weapons.

Terrelle Pryor has been a disappointing signing for Washington, but Josh Doctson has seen a large role in recent weeks. It’s worth mentioning that TE Jordan Reed could miss some time with a hamstring injury and he has been an important part of their offensive attack when healthy the past few years.

We’ll have more regarding potential trades involving the Redskins as the news is available.
