Redskins Place OLB Brian Orakpo On I.R. & Sign OLB Everette Brown

The Washington Redskins officially announced that they have placed OLB Brian Orakpo on season-ending injured reserve and signed OLB Everette Brown to a contract.

With Orakpo playing out the 2014 season under the franchise tag, there is a possibility that he’s played his final snap for the Redskins.

Over the course of seven games, Orakpo has recorded 24 tackles and a half sack. We have Orakpo listed as the No. 14 player in our recently updated Top 25 – 2015 Free Agents list.

Brown, 27, was taken with No. 43 overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, but lasted just two season before being released. He signed with the Cowboys in October of last season in order to add some much needed depth at defensive line.

Washington signed him a contract back in July, but he was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

Last year, Brown produced 10 tackles and a forced fumble over the course of seven games with the Cowboys.
