Redskins Plan To Limit RGIII To One Quarter In Next Weeks Game

Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins are planning on limiting first-round pick Robert Griffin III to 12-20 snaps in next week’s preseason opener against the Bills.

Mike Shanahan mentioned that they’ll likely expand Griffin’s playing time in weeks two and three of the preseason.

There have been some up and down reports regarding Griffin’s progress during training camp. While there doesn’t appear to be any major concerns to this point, he hasn’t exactly been unstoppable to this point. It will really be interesting to see how he plays against an up and coming Bills defense, even though it will be on a limited basis.
