Redskins Promote LB Steve Beauharnais, Place LB Adam Hayward On I.R.

The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they have promoted LB Steve Beauharnais to their active roster and placed LB Adam Hayward on season-ending injured reserve.

Head coach Jay Gruden announced Monday that Hayward’s season was over after he sustained a tibial plateau fracture this past weekend.

Beauharnais, 24, was taken in the seventh round of last year’s NFL draft by the New England Patriots. However, Beauharnais was unable to make the team coming out of the preseason and later signed on to the Redskins’ practice squad.

Last year, he appeared in two games and recorded a single tackle for the Patriots.
