Redskins Re-Sign QB Colt McCoy

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are re-signing backup QB Colt McCoy.

McCoy, 29, signed on with Washington as an unrestricted free agent a few years, and actually played better than expected for them in 2014 before he went down with a neck injury that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.

He did see some limited playing time this past season while serving as the team’s No. 2 quarterback ahead of Robert Griffin III.

In 2014, appeared in five games for Washington last season and threw for 128 yards while completing 63.6 percent of his passes to go along with one touchdown and no interceptions.
