Redskins Re-Sign RFA OT Ty Nsekhe

The Washington Redskins announced Monday that restricted free agent OT Ty Nsekhe has signed his one-year tender for the 2018 season.

Washington placed the second-round tender on Nsekhe, which will cost them $2.914 million for the 2018 season.

Nsekhe, 32, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Texas State back in 2012. He was among the team’s final roster cuts and was claimed off of waivers by the Rams.

The Rams signed him to their practice squad where he finished the season and re-signed to a futures contract. Los Angeles wound up waiving him with an injury designation in 2013.

New Orleans signed him to a futures contract but was waived with an injury designation once again. The Redskins signed him to a futures deal in 2015 and he returned to Washington on exclusive rights deals the past few years.

In 2017, Nsekhe appeared in 11 games for the Redskins and appeared in 305 total snaps.
